Before everyone takes off for the summer, we wanted to update you on some upcoming activities.
Mark Your Calendars: Upcoming Events
Save the date on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 for the fall fundraiser You Are What You Eat…Come Eat With The Best - A Food Tasting and Silent Auction to benefit the Emergency Departments of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
As always, we encourage you to peruse your little black book and invite your friends. We are also looking for event committee members and sponsors to help ensure another successful event. Email us to add people to the invitation list, join the committee or for more information on sponsorships.
Volunteer at NYP
Our dedicated Volunteer Committee has adopted Neural Connections at Weill Cornell Medical Center as the NewLeaders Volunteer Initiative. Volunteers work directly with patients performing a variety of services, ranging from friendly chats and card games to mealtime assistance and mobilization support.
This year we are once again partnering with Friends For Kids and holding Volunteer Children’s Craft Days at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. The next one will be on Sunday, September 14th from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. with more to follow.
Education Events
We have some great Education Events coming up this fall to round out our 2008 Education Series: a Sleep Disorder event hosted by Jill Wallerstein and a Surgical Technology event hosted by Lexie Utterman. More details to come.
